If you are new to the Parish. If this is your first child. If it's been several years since your last child was baptized at St. John of Rochester. Overview of Baptism Preparation Classes are usually held on the third Friday of the month in Gathering Room of the Parish from 7:30 - 9:00PM. Both parents attend. Godparents are not required, but welcome. Following your registration, you will be contacted by someone from the Parish Baptism Team. Prior to class, parents are to pick up a book at the Parish Office (Hours are M-F 9-5) called "Our Baby's Baptism". If you have any questions or concerns about the material, please contact Deacon Dan and Sheila Kinsky. SJR Parish has a team of several couples in Baptismal ministry who rotate leadership and guide you through the Friday night sessions. You also receive a folder of information with helps in raising your child in the faith as well as a form for Baptism Certificate information to be used in scheduiling the Baptism.
