Youth Gatherings First Youth Ministry Gathering will be Sunday September 13, 2009 at 6:30 PM in the Parish Center. Youth Gatherings are for teens in Grades 9th - 12th.  The teens gather most Sunday evenings from 6:30 - 8:45 (see bulletin for date changes).  Our gatherings are on topics of teen interest.  For example Gossip, relationships etc.  Most gatherings are lead by teens with an adults help and direction.  We always find a reading or two from the Bible and discuss what the church Catechesis says about the topic.  Each gathering is ended with Shared prayer.  SJR Youth Ministry Webpage http://stjohnofrochesteryouthministry.pbworks.com/FrontPage Youth Ministry Database Information Youth Ministry Database Information[PDF] Code of Conduct: This is the code of conduct for Youth Group. There’s nothing to buy. We are simply asking you to protect the environment by donating your used digital cell phone(s) (chargers and cords are not necessary) and ink jet cartridge(s). Your used cell phone(s) may be tax-deductible and will be recycled in accordance with EPA regulations or refurbished and sold. Look for the cardboard recycling bin in the back of church. Link to photos from Youth Gatherings - Youth Bridal Show - 100 Years of Wedding Fashion SJR Sports Committe 2008 - 2009 CYO Basketball Contact: Patrick Jones - 305-5435 2008 - 2009 CYO Basketball Registrar: Bernadette Weaver - 223-8679  Website for CYO Basketball and registration information is sjrcyo.org The sports committee is comprised of twelve to eighteen parish volunteers who assist in planning and conducting a CYO (Catholic Youth Organization) basketball program. The basketball program season, for boys and girls, runs from October through March. A banquet for players and families is scheduled at the end of the season. Volunteers are needed for coaching, concessions, kitchen, refereeing etc. Teams include: 3th-4th Grade Boys and Girls 5th-6th-Boys 5th-6th-Girls 7th-8th Grade Boys 7th-8th Grade Girls Junior Varsity Boys - Grades 9-10 Varsity Boys - Grades 11-12 Varsity Girls - Grades 9-12 Season Outline: May - Registration Aug.- Summer camp Oct.- Practices begin Nov.- Feb.- Games and tournaments Dec.- Christmas Tournament Mar.- Banquet Fees: (subject to change) $90 - Grades 5-12 $75 - Grades 3-4 $60 for each additional player for families with multiple registrants
