What is NCYC? NCYC is a spiritual pilgrimage for Catholic teens in grade 9-12, where they In a distinctly Catholic setting, the National Catholic Youth Conference invites participants to encounter Christ, experience church, and be empowered for discipleship.

The Diocese of Rochester handles all the logistics of our pilgrimage – bus, hotels, some food, and NCYC registration.

Registration Information:

  • SJR registration/permission form and $50 deposit due by March 15th

    • DOR registration and initial deposit due this month

  • Any registration submitted to me after June 1st will be assessed a DOR late fee of $50

  • Final payment of $75 due by June 9th

 

Teen Expectations: Our teens are encouraged to active participate in the life of their parish because they are the Young Church. This helps them to build connection with each other, parishioners and their community at large.

 

As part of our NCYC group we ask that they join in the following, as much as their schedules permit:

  • Attend Mass regularly

  • Help with the Spaghetti Dinner on Mar. 2nd

  • Help with Bottle and Can Drives (once a month April – August)

  • Participate in Youth Ministry nights on Sunday, 6-8

  • Assist with Parish ministries: VBS, Music Ministry, Lector, Altar serving, help with VBS or Summer Intensive Classes

  • Assist YM with the Saints Place service opportunities in June

 

NCYC “mini” retreats:

  • Sunday, June 9th 5-8 pm; dinner provided; parents invited to join us at 7pm Mandatory

  • Saturday, Sept 8th 5-8 pm; Mass, dinner provided

  • Monday, Nov. 11th 11 to 5; Adoration, lunch provided, prayer service Mandatory
