LESSON 2: I Believe
LESSON 3: In God the Father, Almighty; The Trinity
Yield: 6 dozen
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
4 cups powdered sugar
2 1/4 teaspoons salt
3 cups shortening
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 package mini chocolate chips
(Food Coloring if desired)

ANGEL COOKIES
Recipe via Orange County Register,11/8/07
Procedure:
1. In a large mixing bowl, sift together flour, powdered sugar and salt. Add shortening, vanilla and chocolate chips. Mix with electric mixer on low speed until just blended. ( Food Coloring if desired)
2. On floured countertop, roll dough into 1-inch cylinders. Refrigerate dough for at least 30 minutes or until firm enough to slice.
3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper. Remove dough from the refrigerator and slice in 1/2-inch thick slices. Place cookies on prepared cookie sheets. Bake cookies for about 10 minutes. Remove from oven and cool on wire rack.
