Sacrament of Reconciliation

It is our goal to help your children recognize the need for forgiveness, exploring the meaning of the symbols, gestures, prayers and Scriptures of the Rite.  Parents are to be involved in preparations for their child's readiness to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliaton.  It is the primary duty of parents, and those who take the place of parents, the Pastor and Catechist to help our students prepare for this Sacrament.  It is expected that the family will attend Mass on a regular basis.

In accordance with the Diocesan Policy, children are encouraged to prepare for the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Penance) as they near the age of seven. Students must complete one full year of Faith Formation of Catholic School the year immediately prior to the year she/he prepares to receive the sacrament.
